Greg L,
Heath or Ludolph vernier sextants would serve. Authentic antiques are very expensive even in non working condition. Good luck on your search.

Looking for a Sextant with a vernier scale...

Hi All,
I do a lot of historic reenacting ( cut's off at 1840 ) and it
would be nice to find a sextant with a vernier scale rather then the
modern micrometer drum.
-something that looks plausibly period- it would be a big plus not go
bankrupt in the process - any thoughts?
Thanks,
~Greg
