I'm not even going to open the file. Instead, I'm going to look into my crystal ball and deduce its contents... ;)
Just based on the fact that the name of the file has "MARS" in it, and considering that it's nearly August, and considering that you said it was "sent by a friend" which probably means it's a dreaded email-forwarding-friend, I'm going to take a WILD GUESS here and suggest that it's probably something saying that Mars is going to come really close to the Earth on August 23rd, look as big as the Moon in the sky, etc., etc.
Every year the folks at Sky and Telescope link or re-post an "analysis" of this particular silly email forward. Here's an example of their account:

You are actually the FIRST person who has forwarded this to me (or more accurately in this case, linked it) in the seven years that it has been making the rounds. This is partly because whenever someone starts forwarding their daily crap to me, I tell them to remove me from their DailyCrapFwd list immediately. Also, I think this particular forward has evolved into a peoples-is-so-stupid forward. It gets passed along by people saying "can you believe people are passing this along? They're so stupid... I wish people wouldn't pass this along... wait here's another copy for you..." Ha. :)
