I have not been following this thread too closely, but I do have a question. In his original challenge, Dave asked, "Given three lunar distances (only, no altitudes), can one find time and position?" From the ensuing dialogue about refraction, is the consensus now that the answer is "no", since any refraction model used must have some information about altitudes? Geoffrey
