Try these dates: 8, 13, 18, 23, 28 March, and then 2, 5 April. Make a quickie graph of the difference in GHA or SHA and maybe also Dec. See the pattern? What then is the official Nautical Almanac providing for the position of Venus? Hint: vikings! It is debatable whether this is an appropriate choice. But I do intend to include it as an option quite soon in my apps, because there are some conditions when it is, in fact, a viable choice.
