In this same issue of the CdT, you will find that months have thirty days each in the revolutionary calendar (I don't remember how they dealt with the extra 5.242 days), and weeks are TEN days long. TEN DAY WEEKS! Thanks, Revolutionaries. What next? You gonna ban God?! The days of the week in this calendar were named numerically in a style still found in many modern European languages: Primedi, Duodi,Tridi, and so on up to Décadi.
