A question for John Karl, + maybe Frank re lunar clearance formulae.
I tend to use the Karl formulae because I find them easy to understand within the context of the simple pictures of the Nav triangle and vertical movement of the moon and sun Hsd and Ho. Frank recommends the series formulae, but I do not understand these formulae so well.
Question. Are there any differences in accuracy between the 2 methods?
