Hi Tony,
You sound like a kindred spirit. I like to use homemade slide rules or my copy of the Brown-Nassau to quickly work out my LOPs ( or lunars, using an accurate cylindrical slide rule) without modern electronics, or indeed logs. I would be very interested in building the Cruiserfix. Well spotted. I've been to Greenwich several times and missed that.
Would you mind sending me details of your build and also the origininal YM 1974 article which I failed to locate in YM archives.
