I'm putting together a one-day lunars workshop scheduled for Monday October 23. This is the day immediately after my two-day standard 19th century class, Celestial Navigation 19th Century Methods. This would be a shorter version of the usual two-day lunars class, but I have some folks coming to town (one all the way from the UK) who have expressed interest in a quick class. Please let me know if anyone else might want to join this one-day workshop. Thanks.
You can read about the classes I'm teaching at Mystic Seaport this fall at ReedNavigation.com. There are two runs of Modern Celestial Navigation in addition to the celestial 19th century class and this new one-day lunars class.

PS: I'm also doing two special one-hour planetarium shows at the Wickware Planetarium at Eastern Connecticut State University in Windham, Connecticut this fall. Those are targeted at folks interested in the basics of celestial navigation with the idea that some of them might be encouraged to take a real class. In other words, not for NavList... but if you know someone in southern New England who would like to learn about the basics in a planetarium setting, send them my way!
