I highly recommend Frank's "Easy Lunars" page.
Thanks. That is what I was after.
I glanced through the page and thought that I understood the basics. Then I realised that there was a gap in my understanding.
- Observe Moon and other body and calculate LD by cos formula.
- Measure LD.
- Observe Moon and other body and calculate LD by cos formula.
- Determine time of observed LD by interpolation.
That is easy to understand. But...........steps one and three require GHA which in turn requires time. But the purpose of the Lunar is to find time. A circular argument!
Where have I gone wrong?
