I paid $300 USD/$450 AUD for a MAC sextant about 5 or 6 years ago in basicly perfect condition with box in same conditon. Right in line with what Frank said. That was a little more than I wanted to pay but it included a bunch of papers from the original owner. After some consideration I thought the provenance of it's history was cool enough to justify a little extra. Good Sextant, belonged to a merchant marine that sailed out of New York most of his life.
