Funnily enough, around 1970, shortly after I handed my MkIXBM back in, they were advertised in the back of Flight magazine for several months for £12 10s.  I thought quite seriously about buying one, but £12 10s was a lot of money to a young chap in those days, so I decided not to.  Ah well, I supose it falls into the same category as the vintage Rolls Royce a fellow student was selling for £100 around 1963. I remember the bubble sextant adverts in Flight magazine. Unfortunately I did not think of buying one. Little did I know that 45+ years later I would regret that (non) decision.............
