Even just in the cel nav enthusiast market, I bet you could sell a thousand of them if the price was right (under $50??). I like your "flat Bygrave" solution very much but it lacks that difficult-to-quantify tactile pleasure that comes from working with a real device. And of course, a "real" Bygrave is something that one can show on a shelf.
