Add me as another potential buyer. I made one from the core of a paper towel roll a year or two ago, the outer tube a single sheet of paper, and the cursor is another paper sheet formed into a tube with appropriate cutouts and scribed line riding on the whole. Green masking tape acts as a stop and gripping surface. Unfortunately, it is rather flimsy; and I would like the feel of something solid. My version is 1-3/4 inch in diameter,11 inches long overall; and is quite easy to handle. I wish I had had the foresight to credit the man who sent me the information by writing or printing his name somewhere at the end of the scales. Perhaps Zvi Doran, but I'm not sure. -- Richard . . .
