The Bygrave would be served well if paired with a splash proof
perpetual almanac like table 4. in the back of Pub. 249. The U.S.Navy
might even be interested.

lacks that difficult-to-quantify tactile pleasure that comes from working 
with a real device. And of course, a "real" Bygrave is something that one can 
show on a shelf. It's a conversation piece, even if it's never used at sea.
