to my phar phlung phriends,
Maybe a tad OT, but I'm thrilled by this thread. How can such an obscure topic fascinate more than one person at a time and, regardless of their LAT and LON, they know of each other! This Internet thing! I too have been fascinated by the evolution and devolution of this celestial triangle. I even dared to post a gentle urging to my Facebook friends that they go outside and look. I feel so 'validated' finding other souls so distracted.
2 weeks ago, I was blessed by the birth of our granddaughter. I was hoping Mars would aid in forming some memorable pattern on that day, but alas, I can't see myself telling her, in a few years, "On the night of your birth, Antares, Mars, and Saturn formed an exact Obtuse triangle. Coincidence? or.... How about that! I stumbled dangerously close to the edge of the abyss we call Astrology. But I also now understood the fascination of the Ancients. But at least I can say, "On the night of your birth, Mars was within a scant 10 minutes of the fifth magnitude star Omicron Scorpii" It doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, trippingly, does it? But, it' s something.
Thanks for being here,
abNorm
