Thanks Herbert, Just to make sure I got this right, please have a look at the diagram on the following website: http://whatis.techtarget.com/definition/0,,sid9_gci528813,00.html Is the lens-shaped figure in red called a steradian or does this term refer only to the cone shaped figure in the centre of the sphere? I am looking for the name of the red lined shape.
