Just back from a 5 week stay in Australia, out of contact from just about everything. The list has been quite busy whilst away, I have hundreds of messages to review.
Anyway, while in Melbourne, I noticed a statue of Matthew Flinders at St Pauls Cathedral and the inscription on the base of the statue just reads "NAVIGATOR". Having never before seen a statue in which the only discription was navigator, I looked him up on wikipedia upon my return to normal life in the USA, meaning today.

In general, I found the Australian people to be warm and welcoming. With rare exception they were a friendly lot.
And in an aside, the team I was working with had imperial tools and knew how to manipulate the imperial units. So much for metric purity.
Best Regards
