If I understand correctly what you're asking Gary; its Flinders as: "In like Flynn" and not as: "finders keepers"
Which leads me to wonder whether that once famous Tasmanian's unlikely exploits are much remembered these days. When he was a young dude and before becoming a notorious Hollywood hearthrob (or something) he sailed his timber yacht (as were they all) up and around New Guinea waters. To get vaguely back on topic.

We discussed Imperial v Metric not long ago here. This is an example of how the introduction of metric just added other systems, without replacing Imperial. This familiarity with both may fade with time.
