There seems to be so much confusion about projections. Maybe folks should look at a globe.... maybe an animated one, then you can judge the sizes and positions of land masses, can check great circle routes etc.

I did not expect this from you. Does not the same apply to the whole subject of traditional Celestial navigation? (Traditional means using stars rather than artificial satellites.) And to many other things that people are doing?
