Steve,
Gregs proceedure is correct as you phrased the question ie based on lower right table of daily pages but the MT times are to nearest minutes so when you correct for dLo you answer is only good to nearest minute.
If body is going to pass near your zenith, Lat approximately equal Dec, then a 4 min band in time of sight would not be good.
Better to look in daily page for latest hour where body is east of your longitude. Then get minutes and seconds from I&C table that is required to make up the additional GHA to your longitude. Then you have MT time determined to the second.
