    Erik,

    OK, thanks, I understand now. So my one is "left handed": I can set the left arm to 0, and the minimum setting of right arm will be 2 degrees 20' (which is much less than you say). Anyway, an educated navigator will never use such small angles, since the accuracy of solution deteriorates when the angles are too small (or too close to 180d). So for practical purposes havng one protractor is enough:-)
