Attached is my latest bookmark kamal using 1 cm per degree held at a distance of 22 inches from the eye. A manila folder makes for an ideal base material. Punch a 1/4 inch hole at the top. Tape a piece of solar film over the hole on the back side. Ink in the edge 1 cm per degree. Use a tape measure at 22 inches held under the eye to maintain correct distance. View Sun through filtered hole. Mark time when horizon is on a whole degree. This is the Hs of the center Sun above horizon. 6' accuracy is possible.
