    Thanks for your replies!
    The advantage of the mirror AH (I call it also solid state artificial horizon) upon exact leveling is its compact size and universality (day & night sights).
    After the last sun sighting session with my mirror AH my left eye felt different than the other eye. After a while the effect subsided but that made me worried ...
    As a partial solution I was thinking about wearing sun glasses while taking sun sights.
    Tony, you are right. I am also doing frequently I.C. checks with the sun disc but the difference is that taking sun sights takes longer period of time especially if I am using "waiting method" of taking sights.
    It might also be the reason why people in the past were using black glass and not any kind of mirror (see some beautiful examples below) to reduce a sun glare.
