"Highest tide will occur on June 24 at 35.8 feet. While it looks like they would be exceptionally high, based on the data in the nautical almanac, they are not. I have seen them much higher in my part of the world." Higher normal tides or higher storm surge tides? Since the astronomical factors are nearly maximal at the end of June, these should be close to the highest normal tides (the highest predicted). Meteorological factors can easily add to these or subtract for that matter, but those are unpredictable (as unpredictable as the weather at least). -FER 42.0N 87.7W, or 41.4N 72.1W. www.HistoricalAtlas.com/lunars
