Where exactly did these figures come from ? I will guess that this has something to do with the difference between the length of an average calender month and the length of a Moon month (synodic).
00 hours 12 minutes
24 hours 42 minutes
1 day 30 minutes difference which is about the difference between the length of an average calender month and the length of a Moon month ( full to full or new to new ).
