John Hamilton Moore's "Practical Navigator" from 1791 is available on google
books. It appears to be largely complete. This is the immediate predecessor
of Bowditch's "New American Practical Navigator". There is also an edition of
Moore from 1807 on the same site. And finally there's the "American Coast
Pilot" from 1822. There is also a new scan of Sumner's book on his lines of
position from 1845. And hey, here's another Moore from 1810. The list goes on
and on...
As I've already noted, Bowditch from 1826 and Janet Taylor from 1851 are
also available on google books.
