Some navlist folks might be interested in my recent paper published in the Journal of Navigation.  To some extent it's a different look at the probability problem from Robin Stuart's paper of a year or so ago in the same journal.  I'm not nearly as good a mathematician as Robin or the authors of the current arXiv paper, so I had to take a brute-force numerical approach to computing probabilities -- not just those within cocked hats, but within other figures as well -- with some interesting and non-intuitive results.  And my paper has only two pretty obvious and non-original equations -- I guarantee your head won't spin!

It's titled "Fix Probabilities from LOP Geometry" and is available under Gold Open Access (free to everyone) at https://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/journal-of-navigation/article/fix-probabilities-from-lop-geometry/C8724439ED51596F4BC97698DD7283F7
