I have a Tamaya Spica that I have been using since the mid 1970s. It has the tradtional split horizon mirror. Our power squadron has two Navy Mark 2s & two Plastic Davis Sextants. I have been teaching our celestial navigation classes since 2004, and when we go out for our sight taking, I have the students take a celestial sight with each type of sextant. They all like using the Tamaya Spica best.
