Seasons? You get bonus seasons at the equator. Two summers and two winters as the sun "moves" from a 23.5 north winter in December, through directly overhead summer in March, to a 23.5 degree south winter in June, through another directly overhead summer in September, and repeat.
Years ago I worked with a gentleman who had been part of the British Empire in Kenya. (On the equator) I asked him about seasons and he said "Just barely. We might be able to see an additional light through the trees in winter. No drastic changes."
