Robert, I think it is very important to keep the Nav-L archiv on the web, available to everyone (without password!) and SEARCHABLE. If the problem is only with the disc space, I can try to provide my disc space. If you give me line-to-line instructions of what exactly I should do. Frank, When I was confronted with the news that Nav-L will not exist in short time, I tried to access the "New list" archive. Google itself finds it only with some difficulty! (I type NavList on the Google). Then, after some search, I found it, of course it requires password (which I don't remember. HOW MANY passwords can a normal person possibly remember?!) Then I found my password in my records, but in the process I accidentally hit some wrong key. As a result, a new window popped up, dancing on my screen, and saying that I just won some "Jaguar". I tried to remove the stupid window by clicking on the red cross in the NE corner, but the result was that 10 ot 15 new windows popped up... I struggled with this for 10 minutes, and then had to restart my web browser... Of course, I receive e-mail from the new list and can reply it. But to my regrett, my participation in the "new list" will be substantially reduced, as I cannot access the old messages on the "new list". Well, what can I do? I cannot say "Let someone pick the maintenance of the Old list", because I myself cannot do it:-( Alex On Sun, 14 May 2006, Robert Gainer wrote: > > Frank, > It is my understanding that you are now moving the Nav-l list with Dan?s consent. The Nav-l home page and all its files including attachments reside on my personnel server. If you need or want to copy files in the course of setting up your new home I can give you the FTP information or e-mail to you any files you want. I will take the page and files down as soon as you have what you need. > > If anybody else needs something from the Nav-l page and has a problem getting it please let me know and I will make sure you get a copy by e-mail or I can send a CD by mail. > Good luck and all the best, > Robert Gainer >
