Regarding your clarifying questions, I am referring to the document “Pages from A1 - Algoritmos.pdf” - Position by meridian transit (Hs and time of meridian transit), in this NavList: Re: Moving Navigator LAN: Culmination to Meridian Passage fully solved (155144)
It uses:
· Least squares fit of data (Hs/Ho) for Hmax & time upper transit.
· Position from Observation of a Single Body, J. WILSON. NAVIGATION: Journal of The Institute of Navigation. Vol. 32, No. 1 for Time of meridian transit
