All,
Getting ready for my demo - and I started to write my own haversine/cosine table( with logs also).
So far I am up to 8 degrees (only 82 more to go!) Can anyone critique my math?
.....I know this must be reinventing the wheel, does anyone have a table already made up that would
be correct circa pre-1840?
I will be solving "cos LHA = (sin Ho - sin Dec * sin Lat )/(cos Dec * cos Lat)"
with haversines so I believe it should be: "hav LHA = (hav Ho –( hav Dec * hav Lat)) / (cos Dec * cos Lat)"
Please let me know if I made a mistake. Also; I can not tell if this formula is pre-1840?
Thanks,
~Greg
