Re: My local time Vs UTC

    Steve,

When I click on the link here in southeastern Virginia (76°28.6' W; currently EDT), I get: "Time difference between your local time and UTC is: -4 hour(s) (-240 minutes).", which is correct. I am not exactly sure why the site specifies the time difference in hours and minutes. As for why the "Noon UTC" link shows 7 p.m. for you...well, I'm also baffled about that. For me, it shows 8 a.m., which is also correct. It seems to me that you should be seeing a time of 7 a.m.

Interestingly, if I set my computer's time zone to U.S. Central Time (UTC -6:00), the UTC page shows a time which is correct for my actual time zone, U.S. Eastern Daylight Time. However, the "Noon UTC" page shows 7 a.m., the correct time for Central Daylight Time. (?) Perhaps the time zone selected on your computer is in error? If not, I'm afraid I have no other explanation.

    Regards,

    Sean C.
