(I know it's an old thread, but I was searching for Magna Corporation sextants and landed here).
I have one of these. Mine is stamped N.Y. Nautical, and the inspeciton date is in 1976.
I am sure these were relatively inexpensive, teaching and yachtsman sextants, made by Magna and private labeled for many retailers. Mine comes in wooden case with blue foam inside. It comes with a single inverting 'scope, screwdriver, mirror adjusting wrench, and a key for the case. There is a space in the case for a prismatic 'scope, but it dodn't come with it. I've seen examples with that 'scope.
If you search on eBay you will find these. There are several there now, and some even private labeled for Tamaya.
I'm refurbishing mine, as it is in poor shape. If you learn more, please let me know.
