I have a Weems Mark II Aircraft Plotter and the instructions. All distances are referred to as statute miles. No date on the plotter or the instructions but the patent number 1,985,907 was filed in March 1933 and granted Jan 1, 1935. No references are given about conversion to nautical miles.
