But the archives don't work very well, and they're a valuable part of the whole process for many of us. Also, there are more and more frequent reports of messages which are not distributing completely to the list. The e-mail system itself is under severe strain from all the #$!& spam and --possibly just as bad-- the over-active spam filters. It may be necessary to consider a web-based "message board" posting system some day soon.
