You should have emailed me! I would have let you in. I had to put a stop on registrations at some number, but I could have accommodated one more. It was quite successful with only a few glitches (one involving my neighbor's crazy dog). That workshop, "Celestial Navigation in the Age of Sail," will be offered online again, probably in June. Meanwhile I'm running "Modern Celestial Navigation" as well as "Lunars: Longitude by Lunar Distances" and "Traditional Celestial Navigation" during May.

Note: "Traditional Celestial Navigation" means intercept method, Pub.229/249 sight reduction, and traditional Nautical Almanac use. "Modern Celestial Navigation" throws away all 20th century baggage and focuses on celestial navigation for the year 2020 and beyond (calculators counted as normal tools).

Regarding Zoom Meetings, you wrote: "I also noticed that image is reversed. It caused confusion when I practiced taking a copy of the Admiralty Manual of Navigation down from the bookshelf beside me."

You can change that easily. There's a setting in Zoom that allows you to flip the mirrored video. This is common in online video systems apparently because people are accustomed to seeing themselves in a mirror, and the direct video view is a bit off-putting ..."why is my hair on the wrong side?!" Just find that setting and switch it. Anyway, this is off-topic for NavList, so I'll conclude by saying that online searching is your friend. For example, here's a Google search on Zoom meeting mirror image. With so many people experimenting with online meeting options, nearly every basic question has been asked and answered a hundred times in the past six weeks.

I'm willing to consider more NavList social sessions, but the turn-out was very low the last time. Maybe once a month? We'll see. The workshop, on the other hand, was quite successful. Maybe I should charge for NavList social sessions?! (that's a joke).
