I sure did not know I would open such a decision by asking"converting decimals to DMS. fell overloaded with information that I will have to grow into.
With thanks to you all.
Now I have another one. Thank to you all ahead of time.
I live in central Iowa, most likely ever be near the blue water again . My interest in navagation is to learn and practice this skill as best I can in my later years and in the location I am in.
My horizons are bean fields to the left, corn to the right, hog confinement to the south and ethanol plants to the north. Have only a davis artifical horizon that get withe in a mile latatude and couple mile logatude on a good day when sun is low. Bubble horizon from Celestaire when sun is high. Use these for noon shots.. don't know how to reduce shots or how to do it as I just go to end of road from under trees and my Dr and appears would be just from one side of road to the other or at most from one section road to the next.
Travel time depends weather I walk or drive the horses behind a wagon.
Could you give me some advice... thank you all again.
