Thank for your message. No derivations, as you say, but I found much interesting information on great circle navigation clicking the first link in your post, and on vector-based geodesy, with which I wasn't familiar at all, clicking the second one. As if this weren't enough, the great circle navigation page has a link to Ed Williams’s aviation formulary, with even more good stuff.
