Mr. Hoyte, I am very sorry, but you are quite astray. Your Galilei promoted the mathematical thinking against the very witty Aristotelian assertions (I admire them, as I read them - but only as historical facts). You attack the mathematical way of thinking by promoting qualitative, "Aristotelian" concepts. If you said "Galilei's judges were right as a matter of fact, Galilei deserved it", as some thread on "Hastro" Group now maintains it, you would be more consistent. But I am very sorry once more - I am afraid that your arguing has the only ground: you had remembered something wrongly from the past (IBM talks in Italy) and now you defend the lost trench stubbornly.
