Hewitt, you wrote: "Turns out Calc won't download to my Mac. Something to do with Safari browser." Let's go for a multi-platform solution then. On your Mac, go to http://docs.google.com (I just did this on mine through Safari, so it should work on yours, too). Now when you enter that address, google will first ask you to log in. If you have not been to any of the personalized content on google before, you will need to create an account. It's trivial: enter your email address, make up a password (distinct from your standard email password!), and answer a few questions. Google will send a confirmation email. You reply to it, or click on an included link. Then you're in. And now that you're logged in, again go to docs.google.com At the google docs site, you will see a menu towards the upper right that says "New". Click that and then click spreadsheet. You can experiment immediately. My idea here is to run a short five to ten post tutorial on doing basic trigonometric calculations in a spreadsheet for purposes of navigation. Hence the new thread name. You can work in any spreadsheet, but I am going to use google's spreadsheet because it is almost certain that all NavList members can access it. First lesson in a few hours. :-) -FER --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Navigation List archive: www.fer3.com/arc To post, email NavList@fer3.com To , email NavList-@fer3.com -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
