    Navigation stars and a pyramid
    From: Frank Reed

How many of the official 57 navigation stars can you identify in this photo? Can you determine your latitude by celestial methods? There are crude techniques as well as more accurate methods. And is that latitude consistent with the latitude that you might guess by identifying the pyramid in the photo? Also, in which direction are we facing? Specifically, what is the best estimate we can make of the azimuth of the center (axis of symmetry) of the pyramid?

I warned you in advance on the last star field, over that abandoned house in Kansas, that it was genuinely difficult. This one should be more manageable. I spotted this photo in an advert for an article in National Geographic yesterday.
