With respect to the message written by JRH Scott on 06-16-2003 0632 that stated in part: > About fifteen years ago I bought a book, (whose author, title, ISBN, etc., I > cannot recall) on how to program an electronic calculator with all the > formulae I needed to plot LOP's. That meant I didn't need to carry my HO249 > tables, etc. > > I cannot locate this book locally, and I wonder whether anyone can offer me a > clue(s) in order to pursue my search for this book. It might have been "Navigator's Pocket Calculator Handbook" by H. Rolf Noer, Cornell Maritime Press 1983, 159 pages, ISBN 0-87033-295-3. It fits your description; most of the book is devoted to problems in celestial navigation. It's no longer in print, but Amazon has a few copies starting at $10.59.
