This has some relivance to navigation as it relates to USPS courses and some of you guys, based on this posting, obvously, have knowledge of those courses.
I have posted 3280 messages here since 2004 but I have never taken a USPS course and I am now thinking about taking one, for two reasons.
1. I have read that European countries are now requiring some type of license or training certification (I don't know exactly what kind) in order to charter boats there. I have charted many times in the Caribbean, six times in Tahiti (the last time in 2015) and one time, in 2001, at Majorca in the Med. I have never had any problem getting a boat in the past but if I now want to go back to the Med or the Adriatic I might have a problem. Any advice on what course, or courses, I should take to deal with this situation?
2. I am looking to find a new wife and a friend recommended taking a USPS course where I could meet "Wharf Widows," women who's husbands owned boats and then died or got divorced leaving the woman with a boat that she doesn't know how to operate, so now, these women (with boats) take USPS courses. Have you found this to be true or is my friend stringing me along? Does this seem like a good idea?
