I am working on a personal project to design a sundial for my house.  Yes I know this is not a sundial list.

I need a formula for calculating arcsin and arctan.  I have gone on the web and searched a number of different places to look but have not found anything that really helps.  I am not looking for a long winded explination of why it works, but just this is what you do to get the answer.

The one formula I have is:

SH=arcsin(cos declination of wall * cos latitude)

I have the declination of the wall and the latitude, but cannot calculate arcsin.

I know that many of you are more into math than I ever hope to be so I decided to seek guidance from you.
