I used it once to find the height of the scope's objective lens center relative to spot due south atop a neighbor's privacy fence from a permanent vantage point to do meridian passage sights. So far have not laid out out the base for pyramids with a water and a trench.... I like the idea of plastic balls that float. May I ask what you used for the balls?
