In reply to your recent post, yes I did know for a long time M. James N. Wilson's "Position Observation from a single Body" paper. And thanks to you for having brought it onto the table anyway.
Meanwhile Frank just published - for a moving Observer this time - the mathematically exact full solution from just one recorded time and one height assumed to be taken at its exact culmination.
Thanks to you - and to Frank too - for having given me the opportunity (and also the challenge) to tackle this quite interesting topic.
