Sam,
1. Was the index error on the arc or off the arc?
2. What was your Longitude ?
3. How did you determine the time of LAN ?
No need to correct for semi diameter of the Sun when superimposing. Index error is applied to the artificial horizon sextant reading before dividing by 2 (not Hs). Refraction is subtracted from Hs not added.
