    An update in today's NYT:
    http://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/01/world/middleeast/us-navy-iran.html?ref=world&_r=0

They apparently started late and cut across Saudi and Iranian waters. The U.S. position seems to be that they did stray but that did not give the Iranians a reason to seize the two boats and the crews. Left unsaid is that they did not destroy the code books, etc.

The first "mess up" that caught my eye was the "four hours behind schedule - - - as they left Kuwait". A military career in always a competition but how much better to be able to call your boss and say "we're going to be late" than to literally take shortcuts.
    Regards, Noell
