Well, there we were walking through the trees minding our own business yesterday afternoon 18thJune 2026 at 14.15UTC when what should we come upon but the Greenwich Meridian. Looking at the photographs, where were we? Somebody (me actually) forgot to put our hiking sticks in the car, so we popped into a country antique store we passed and picked up this nice cherry and a nice beech (I think) walking stick for £1GBP each. I tried to take the snap of the stick at 90 degrees to its shadow. A further clue is that something important (although not celestial) happened very close to here on 11th October 1643. DaveP
